the Firefly Brigade

Continuing on the bikes and green transportation theme, every third Sunday of the month, the Firefly Brigade sets out on a leisurely bike ride crisscrossing the metro, every time with a new theme and a new destination. A great way to see and actually "feel" the city, in a much different way than from inside the car. Biking together with hundreds of others makes it safe and is also a lot of fun.   

The Firefly Brigade wants the fireflies back in the city - as they are indicators of the balance in ecology, if you don't see them anymore, it's because the air is really polluted - and actively promotes the bicycle as a sustainable form of transportation.
